Lip Includes: - Upper and lower lip (does not include chin) Chin Includes: - Lower lip and chin Lip and Chin Includes: - Upper and lower lip - Chin Before Waxing: -Ensure that the hair in the treatment area is at least a quarter of an inch long for optimal waxing results. -Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or sunless tanning products in the treatment area for at least 24 to 48 hours prior to the appointment, as this can increase skin sensitivity. -Refrain from using any topical medications, such as retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids, on the treatment area for at least a week before waxing, as these can make the skin more prone to irritation. -Communicate any allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions to your esthetician before the appointment. -If you are prone to skin sensitivity or discomfort during waxing, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever, such as ibuprofen, 30 minutes before your appointment to help minimize discomfort. -Arrive at your appointment with clean, dry skin, free from any oils, lotions, or makeup in the treatment area. -Avoid consuming caffeine or alcohol before your appointment, as these can increase skin sensitivity. -If you have any concerns or questions about the waxing process, don't hesitate to discuss them with your esthetician before beginning the treatment. Post Waxing Care: -Avoid touching the waxed area unnecessarily to prevent irritation and minimize the risk of infection. -Refrain from applying any products, such as creams or makeup, to the waxed area for the first 24 hours to allow the skin to recover. -Steer clear of sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours post-waxing to prevent irritation. -Gently exfoliate the waxed area after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and promote smooth skin. -Keep the waxed area moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free lotion to soothe and hydrate the skin. -If any redness or irritation occurs, apply a soothing lotion containing ingredients like aloe vera or witch hazel to calm the skin.
